- Base loss: ~1.5L/day at rest (breathing, sweating, waste)
- Activity: +500ml per hour of moderate exertion
- Heat: +250ml per hour for every 5°C above 20°C
- Altitude: +500ml per hour above 3000m elevation
- Dry air: Additional 200-400ml/hr in arid conditions
